‘Yoyon堂’は、2022年4月にオープンしたBOOK＆GALLERYのお店です。

もともとは、石鹸やマッチなど日用品を売る商店のスペースでした（1950〜1990年頃）。当時の棚がそのまま残っていて、現在は古本や手作りの物を置いています。

（Point 1）ローカルなアートやものづくりを紹介

ローカルで活動するアーティストの作品や、暮らしの中から生まれるものづくりを紹介するギャラリーです。

（Point 2）懐かしい体験や新しい試みを企画

昔の屋号から名付けた「オキミセ」というイベントを、月に1回のペースで開催しています。量り売りなどユニークな出店や、紙芝居や金魚すくいなどの体験を企画します。

（Point 3） 小さな観光案内所

里山の「人と暮らし」を紹介する‘さとやまガイド’を行なっています。地域に住むアーティストと出会ったり、自然や暮らしに直接触れる体験を中心に、その人に代わってオーダーメイドでプランを作ります。

その時のアーティストの作品や展示によって変化し続ける、完成しないギャラリーを目指しています。どこか懐かしさを感じる空間で、お客さん同士が交流できる場を作っていきたいと思います。

‘Yoyondow’ is a BOOK & GALLERY store that opens in April 2022.

It was formerly a space for shops selling daily necessities such as soaps and matches from 1950 to 1990. Now, second-hand books and handmade crafts are displayed on old shelves.

Point 1: Introducing local art and handcraft

Here is a gallery to display works of local artists and handcraft made for simple daily living.

Point 2: Nostalgic experiences and new challenges

The “Okimise” event is held once each month, named after the former shop’s name. Unique stores open here, such as selling by weight booth, picture-story shows, and goldfish scooping.

Point 3: Small tourist information center

We are conducting a “Satoyama Guide” (country-side guide) that introduces the “people and their lives” in our region. Also, a customized plan is provided. Learning through new experiences, connecting with artists living in the area, and directly touching on nature and life to be gained.

Our gallery is ever-changing and flexible in its art exhibitions. The goal is to provide a place where people can interact with each other in a friendly and nostalgic atmosphere.
